Business Manager, Local Heritage brands
The Business Manager is responsible for executing the strategy for our Local Heritage brands; Sunnuntai®, Torino®, Nalle®, Guldkorn® and Kalaspuffar®, as outlined in our 2025-2027 strategy. The primary goal is to maximize profit and cash flow to fuel the overall growth of the group. This role leverages our strong brand assets and products creatively to achieve their full profit potential. As a category and brand expert, the Business Manager spreadheads brand, category, and portfolio management, while also developing innovative concepts and strategic partnerships. A crucial aspect of this role is establishing a licensing model and identifying new partnership opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
-Optimize profit margins and cash flow, and accelerate sales growth through strategic initiatives such as licensing, partnerships, channel expansion, marketing, pricing strategies, packaging innovation, and portfolio optimization.
-Lead the development and execution of brand and category plans
-Conduct competitive analysis and consumer insights to inform strategic planning.
Identify, engage, and manage relationships with key licensing partners.
-Lead innovation and renovation projects, including concept development and testing, business case creation, and brand and packing design
- Collaborate closely with Retail and Horeca/Foodservice sales teams to drive commercial strategy and execution for local heritage brands.
-Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
The Business Manager reports to Country Director, Finland.
Required Skills and Experience:
-Shows COURAGE, acts with FAIRNESS and DRIVES results when collaborate with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
-Profound understanding of the FMCG business.5-10 years of experience in marketing and/or sales, preferably in the FMCG sector, including portfolio, concept, and brand development.
-Consumer and commercial-oriented mindset; proactive and results-driven in reaching out to potential new licensing or other partners and creating new networks.
-Entrepreneurial and challenger mindset with the ability to identify new growth opportunities. Ability and willingness to think outside the box and find innovative solutions.
-Experience in inspiring people is beneficial, but a positive attitude and drive are essential.
-Strong international mindset with a proven track record of working successfully in multicultural -organizations.
-Excellent teamwork, networking, communication, negotiation, presentation, and project management skills.
-Fluency in both Finnish and English.
-Relevant commercial education (e.g., university of applied sciences or equivalent).
