We’re now looking for a curious and forward-thinking nutrition and metabolism expert to join our Research&Innovation team.

Your role as a Research manager in Nutrition & Metabolism will deepen our expertise in food-related health mechanisms , and give us even stronger capabilities to fulfill the future needs in the area of healthy food. In this role, you will play a key role in connecting scientific insight with our research, heading towards new business opportunities for Raisio. You will work as a member of our ambitious R&I team, but also as a member of the external scientific ecosystems. You will be one of those scientists building the heart health and weight-management research ecosystem by collaborating with leading partners across Europe and the UK and communicating the science-driven opportunities back and forth.

Your role in a nutshell

You will operate at the intersection of science, partnership building and communication, designing impactful research, building international collaboration networks, and translating science into meaningful insights for businesses and research initiatives.

What you’ll do

• Co-create, design and lead research initiatives on the metabolic and nutritional effects of foods and ingredients, with a strong focus on cardiovascular health, but also weight management.

• Interpret and translate scientific evidence into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders, as well as communicate Raisio’s preventive health strategy for external stakeholders.

• Stay on top of emerging research and trends in nutrition, metabolism, and preventive health—and communicate them in an accessible way to identify new opportunities in future food

• Build and actively shape a global research ecosystem, particularly across the EU and UK, in collaboration with academic and industry partners by engaging with key stakeholders such as academic partners, healthcare professionals, and research consortia.

• Work closely within the R&I team, communications and business units.

What we expect from you

• Strong scientific background in nutrition, metabolism and food science (PhD)

• Proven ability to design, lead, and apply research

• Experience working with international research networks and creating projects and consortia

• Experience for simplifying complex science and communicating it clearly and convincingly

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Curiosity, initiative, and a proactive way of working

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

• Passion for healthy solutions and future eating !
